Forum

The general forum is up, it may have a few bugs, but I'll squash 'em as I go.
I added support for the basic BB codes and emoticons so it should be simple to use.
I'm holding off on gallery and blog comments 'till I roll the entire system into a database.
That may be a while though.

Been doing a good bit of spinning lately and found some new moves.
Same time BTB weaves, round the world buzzsaws, round the world buzzsaw hyperloops, some odd BTB TTN stuff and 5 and 7 beat thru wrap fountains.
They all need some serious work before I bring them to the burn. Ah well, back to the porn.

Dynamic Content!

I'm about halfway through implementing my own lightweight comment system.
You will be able to post comments on blogs, gallery images or just say "Hi" in the General Discussion forum.
This is my first attempt at PHP with a lot of wheel reinventing but it's been smooth sailing so far.
Hopefully I'll have the first pass up by this weekend.

After hours of page refreshing, I finally got my order in for two tickets to the big burn.
Hope to see you out there.

Come Up to the Lab and See What's on the Slab

Lots of changes today, I revamped the gallery, added an RSS feed,
squashed some XHTML nonconformities, tweaked the links
and redesigned the left side CSS. It's still a work in progress but I'm slowly making headway.

And now for something completely different!

I need to burn something...

Site Redesign

The old UBB look is out. It died with the dot coms so I'm moving towards a modern look.
Bear with me, I'm a software developer, not a web designer.

Getting this page to mostly work in IE was a major headache.
I hope IE 7 isn't another dog poop of a browser and fixes all their flaky CSS interpretations.
Hell, I could have written a better browser in the time it's taking them to get 7 out the door.

I hate CSS!!

It gets the coveted two finger rating. Mostly due to Microsofts piss poor implementation. Try a real browser:

I you use CSS for HTML layouts, you are a MORON... like me.
Hopefully my l33t h4x0r C$$ won't break too many of your browsers out there. If it does, feel free to ask me how much I care.
The page actually validated under XHTML 1.0 so how bad could it be.

Enough of the geekery, on with the war.

Burning Man tickes go on sale Wednesday January 18, 12 noon PST.
The first 7000 tickes go for $185 and usually sell out in the first day or so. I know I'll be grabbing a couple.

No idea where I'm camping this year. I might try to hook up with Temple of Poi or do the nomadic Black Kilt Camp thing...
I added some new '05 pics to the poi gallery. A few from Transformus, Burning Man, CarnEvil and other events.
